Jean-François Mainguet is currently Biometrics Chief
Scientist of Atmel's biometrics business unit located near
Grenoble, France. Mr. Mainguet is the inventor of the sweeping
technique for direct silicon fingerprint scanning used in the
FingerChip® project.
Since joining Thomson-CSF Semiconducteurs Spécifiques (TCS)
in 1984, he has been engaged in the development of SOS and SOI
rad-hard semiconductor devices, electrical simulation, layout
& mask design tools, and analog to digital converter
design. TCS became Atmel-Grenoble in 2000.
Mr. Mainguet became an engineer for Télécommunications de Bretagne in 1984.
